For this photo I decided to take a walk with my D850 with the trusty Tamron 150-600 G2 for some flowers and bug photos. Maybe an intimate landscape or an abstract. I felt quite capable of pulling off any of the above according to opportunity with that lens. I was shooting hand held with a steady hand a a frim gaze with the help of a very capable Tamron Vibration Control that virtually locks the subject into place.
This is an exercise that I plan on doing more of. I remember back in the day when I was first learning photography an exercise was to just pick a lens and spend the day shooting a couple of rolls with only that lens.
I had a great time and it broke me out of the wide angle mindset that’s easy for a landscape photographer to get locked into.
