Questions for Viewers

Ok - I love shooting into the sun. One evening I went out with lovely light, nice bokeh with my lens wide open. Went for a painterly effect. Oil painting look …Nice processing …or Heresy?

About This Image

It looked lovely - but I wanted to make it more abstract

Technical Details

Processed in Topaz studio 2 - using an impressionistic brush - can be done in PS too.
I was as subtle as I could be - to try and give an impressionistic feel rather than over manipulated.

You can choose the brush style, and the density of the brushstrokes , and other variables.
Alter the opacity and fill of the layer to make the brush strokes as gentle as possible - but aiming I guess for a touch of Cezanne

Again - nice or awful was for an image to go…?

Huw: Love the light and the comp and the focus on the leaves. I do like the bokeh behind the leaves but the one that is sharply rendered pulls my eye a bit. Not sure I would want it to go away completely but if it could be softened a bit that would suit me a little better. The colors in the BG are very nice and complementary as well. I like the way you think and translate it into marvelous creations. :+1: :+1: >=))>

Ok thanks - will tweak and blur/darken a bit, and smudge it a bit
