I live in a part of Australia that has some of the most incredible bush walks. For the past few years I have enjoyed taking portraits of many of the local tree inhabitants I have met on my travels. While some trees blend into the background there are those that cannot help but stand out, it is these that capture my imagination. The Angophora costata, commonly known as Sydney red gum, rusty gum or smooth-barked apple is one of the most characterful, this image is of one of those.
An interesting series, for sure. Such distinctive shapes and canopy spreads.
