Bandar (captive)

This is the male Sumatran tiger at the Point Defiance Zoo. I was lucky in that he was in the largest of the enclosures and there was a viewing area with no windows or fences in the way above their swimming pool. I think one of the female tigers was in heat because he sure acted like it.

5DIII, EF 70-200 f/4L @ 183mm, hand held, f/6.3, 1/640, iso 1600, manual exposure. Processed in LR & PS CC. A bit of cleanup of distracting bright elements in the background. Selective microcontrast adjustments to the tiger as well as exposure and saturation adjustments. Desaturated the background a bit to mellow out the super saturated greens of the grasses.

Even in a defined captive area, Dennis, this tiger looks as though he demands, and gets, respect wherever he goes.
