This female Summer Tanager has been hanging around a lot, lately exhibiting behavior I’ve never seen before by a Tanager. I caught this photo of her bathing yesterday, and she often comes and eats bird seed at the feeders. I have always read they are primarily insectivores, and sometimes eat fruit and berries. Anyway, I’ve had a blast watching and photographing her.
