Autumn 2020 photo project - taken 10/14/20 in Lincoln, Massachusetts
Doing more backlit images was a goal of mine this fall, this is one attempt.

I’ve decided to follow in the footsteps of @Dick_Knudson and post an image that is an homage to fellow NPN member, @Ben_van_der_Sande, and his style of woodland images (and haiku poems)

Ed, this is a lovely image with beautiful colors! Very well found small scene. By the way, I will not try to express my impression of this image with a haiku poem (but due to the frequence of the inclusion of haiku in the latest posts maybe I have to learn!)

Without photographs such as this, it would be hard to accept as truth that such colors exist.
For me, the dazzling part is the reflection of the trees, fragmented by the lily pads. The red of the trees was a litle too dense on my monitor.
So cropping in on the water, and a little land, then inverting it and lookee what I found!

Blazing, indeed! You and Ben are so creative, adding a haiku to your photo. I’d be interested in seeing more of the reflection (but that’s just me).
