Pertinent technical details or techniques to help others learn:

I went to our local Botanical Gardens to photograph the butterflies. Saw this flower which was nicely spot lit by the sun with a naturally dark background. I chose to underexposed by -1 2/3 to really push the background down.

Olympus EM-1 Mark II, 300mm f/4 1/500 @ f/4, ISO 400 handheld.

Such a beautiful portrait of this flower! I really like the contrast between the light on the flower and the darker background.
