I like the way the Pandanus frames the beach "umbrella) and how all pieces of the photo are separated from each other. The rubbish bins and cement block do not bother me as the umbrella is also human in origin. The impressive piece, is the lack of rubbish lying on the beach. The transitions from sand to sea, sea to cloud and cloud to blue give a good sense of depth to the photo.
Improvements to the photo? Very little. Perhaps half a step to the left to make the tree more central to the rubbish bins and a slight increase in separation between tree and umbrella. This would also hide the last vestiges of land on the horizon rhs that is visible through the Pandanus leaves. Nit picking really!
I am always impressed by your skill and vision ability in taking and processing excellent photos from simple natural landscapes. I like this break from fishing.
One of the purposes of Bounty’s ill fated voyage was to establish breadfruit plants across the islands. It was bringing a cargo of them to Tahiti. The mutineers took great pleasure in dumping them all into the ocean once they got rid of Bligh.
This is a young specimen but I found many with ripe fruits and tried some. The hotel also served dried fruits that had been fried and they tasted like French fries, sort of.
I’m really glad I came across these plants because for years I tried to imagine how a fruit could look like bread. It doesn’t. The closest is a pineapple.
I just popped by to take a look and this image grabbed my attention . Surprise, surprise , it’s one of Igor’s. Outstanding composition and use of colour.
