About This Image

Went to a car show Saturday. Didn’t get anything remarkable but there was one priceless picture I didn’t take. (Should have – shoot me!) There were two women with one of the cars who looked like they were right out of the 1950s. (And I will not entertain inquiries as to how I might know.) I didn’t get the impression they were cosplaying – they were the right age and (other than normal aging) it just looked like they had never changed their appearance – things like hairdos, eyeglasses, makeup, accessories and clothing style. I wonder if being bonded to a 1950s car could do that to a person…

No need to repeat all the others. Nothing remarkable, all handheld.

Minor global corrections in LR, then into PS for some variable retouching and crops.

All of these are very cool, Diane. I think the fins are my favorite. I really admire photographers that can pull images out of a car show or museum with all the background clutter-a talent that I seem to lack completely.

Diane,

Can you recall if it was a 1969 Chevelle? That was my dream car but never got.

Thanks, @Dennis_Plank and @Youssef_Ismail ! Youssef, when I shot the Chevelle logo I was planning to delete the car and just have the sign, so I didn’t pay attention to including the entire “license plate”, and didn’t notice if there was any information about the individual car. But the “license plate” could be 1969 or 1965. (This is the whole frame.) Gee, just think – you could be doing classic car shows now instead of art shows!
