Description

On a cloudy afternoon at Terrigal headland, this scene captures the peaceful yet persistent dance between the waves and the layered rock formations. The overcast light casts a gentle contrast across the scene, highlighting the intricate patterns etched into the stone by the sea’s touch. It’s a quiet, reflective moment on the Australian coast, full of texture and the subtle drama of nature’s everyday wonders.

I like this one very much as is. The title is perfect.

Thanks Jim!

That rock has some wonderfully intricate details, and I see you caught yet another background wave .

Any idea why the sky is so posterized?

Thanks John! I sit there until get a wave, normally it arrives just as I look away. Yes I noticed that as well jumped back in to LR and exported a full res version, no banding at all. I have a feeling its in the compression process, here is what I see on screen, as soon as I export I get the banding. Any ideas?

That screen shot does look good, so I’ll bet your correct that it has something to do with the export. Maybe someone who works with LR can comment and solve the puzzle.

Found it, had my export file limited to 1000k, thanks John I needed a prod to fix it!

Oh excellent. That looks much better overall, not just the sky. Glad you found it.
