Dark Eyed Junco in Spring

Watching the seed feeder area is always such an enjoyable experience, some birds are so relaxed with people, others are timid and skittish. I find the Dark Eyed Junco interesting and fun to observe, especially when eating, they seem to be unafraid of my presence and as always how magical is it that birds are the only true descendant of dinosaurs.

Sweet little fellow Laura. We used to have dark eyed juncos in our yard also. They do seem quite content to be around humans as ours never did fly off we can came around. Sounds like you are having quite a time enjoying the birds in your area.

I am enjoying watching the wildlife in my garden, living in the country gives the wildlife the freedom to live more naturally, something I am very happy about.
