The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
This little Allen’s (I think) hummingbird chose to build her nest deep in our huge old avocado tree in Southern California a couple years ago. I did a lot of clean up on leaf spots and brown edges in this one.
Specific Feedback
General feedback. Not sure about the placement of the hummer in the frame. Too centered? Can you tell where I did all of the spot removals? Thanks for your comments and critiques.
Technical Details
Canon 60D, f7.1, 1/160 s, iso 640, 100-400 lens at 400 mm.

Very nice, Ed. I think the position of the hummer is fine . Maybe position just a little lower so you see more of upper leaves if there is room upper right . How big a crop from the original? The background noise is visible; but nest and bird are quiet and clean. Too bad about the brown leaf tip but not a big issue. Yes, I can see the faded removals, mostly on the lower leaves, also not an issue for me. Usually finding a nest for me is a thrill, but making a keeper photo through the twigs, branches and leaves has been difficult. So nice work with getting a good opening to shoot through. Amazing how these hummers weave such a tight small nest.
Excellent job nailing the focus through all the foliage, Ed. I’d probably crop up from the bottom about half way to the bottom of the nest to pull the hummer down to our eye level. I could see a tough more on the top and right if you have it. The clean-up isn’t obtrusive. Very nice work.
Ed, a great find here. Getting a clear view of these intentionally-hidden nests is rare, and your detail is very nice. Yes, the leaf cleann-up can be seen, but not a great problem.
Placement of the bird is good, but might be better if she was higher in the frame.
Nice work!
Thank you very much @Stephen_Stanton, @Dennis_Plank and @SandyR-B. Unfortunately this is full frame and there is no more top to reach for. I had my focus on center to get the hummer/nest in focus through all the leaves.
