Episode 48 - Bridging the Gap Between Science and Photography With Manuel Palacios

Manuel Palacios and I talk on social media all the time. So, it’s only natural that we would transition that conversation over to The Landscape Photography Show for everyone to join in.

I’ve always been fascinated by Manuel’s background as a photographer. Being rooted in science, he usually has a deep understanding of nature, which leads to deeper thoughts and even more intentional photographs.

I wanted to ask him one question to bridge the gap, are photographers scientists?

During our conversation, Manuel and I also discuss how he started to realize some of his night sky photos looked very similar, and how he creatively broke out of that routine of compositions.

Not only that, but we also talked about how intentional camera movement (ICM) has given his a creative and emotional connection to nature.
