Usually a popular spot for Colorado photographers looking for aspens/fallcolor, but on this evening, everyone else headed off to dinner before the light got nice.

Looks like some nice color off the pass. I have seen that where a workshop leaves to catch dinner before sunset and I am left scratching my head in bewilderment.
So true. On this evening, a bunch of folks with so much fancy equipment, I felt “outgunned”. Then, just as quick, they packed it all up and split as the warm light appeared. BTW Doug, are U anticipating any good color in northern AZ? Recollection is that you have produced some excellent images from there in the past.
