Nice one, Peter. Good color and detail, great pose. Add something you won’t find up in Connecticut.

Holy cow Peter! I’ll trade you an ibis for one of these! Isn’t it great when you get unexpected bonus birds?

Great colours and composition. I love the unassuming eye contact.

Hi Peter, very nice image! Good catch of the feeding pose and the exposure is spot on. This is a very vibrant individual so lucky you that he/she happened by. Well done.

Great shot Peter! Spoonbill is nice and sharp and techs are spot on. I like the bill going to town on some crustaceans and worms in the mud. Well done…Jim

Hi David, Glenys, Allen & Jim

Thank you for the comments.

Glenys, you are very kind.

Peter

The spoonbill is perfect and I like that the background blurred due to your focal length, because it seems at f13, my setup would have had the water behind the bird in focus. Lovely.

Hi Joyce

Thank you for the comment. The f13 happen, bacause I was trying to photograph Kites just before this Spoonbill show up.

Peter

A lovely catch, Peter. that head turn and half submerged bill really work well. It produces a kind of “what are you looking at” feeling for me.

Spoonbills are such showy birds, amazing color. Good capture.
Alice

Wonderful capture and I love the shallow DOF both in front and behind. Hope you got the Snail Kites too!!

HI Dennis, Alice & Diane

Thank you for the comments. Diane, the Snail Kites are very, very cool.
