Foggy Minimalism

Truly this has been the year of fog here in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. Since this natural event suits my favorite landscape genre so well, I have taken full advantage of it. Here is another example. A small and peaceful lake at dawn, whisper quiet, while nature exits fall and prepares for a cold winter.

Nikon D810 with a Nikon 24-120 f/4 lens. Manfrotto tripod with RRS ballhead. Hoya polarizing and Lee ND grad filters.

Beautiful quiet and serene image, Marc. Love the mood. Excellent.

This is really well done Marc. It has a wonderful ethereal mood, and I like the 3D effect of seeing the tunnel of trees fading into the fog. Great work on this image, the fog gave you a gift here.

I really love the quiet feel in this one.

The simplicity of this photo. Really nice!

Beautiful minimalist image - great photo.

Well this is fabulous. I’ve not played with NDs and relatively still water so you’ve inspired me.

Great minimalist image, Marc! It is good that the “channel” in the middle is placed off centre.
