I knew this abandoned pier existed on the Delaware River for some time, and I always imagined it would look best just like this: low light, fog, black and white, and void of fishermen. Patience paid off. I was aiming for a minimalist look of quiet loneliness.
Pertinent technical details or techniques to help others learn:
Composition: With a wide angle lens placed very close to the boardwalk, I tried to exaggerate the pier’s length and width while minimizing the mid-ground
Equipment: Nikon D810, Nikon 12-24 f/4. Manfrotto tripod, Hoya polarizing filter
