Gecko at Lunch

A Gecko licks the juice from flowers of a palm tree.
They seem to have a well adapted tongue that you might see after you get past the colorful patterns on its back and those fantastic blue rimmed eyes.

We were practicing social distancing in Kailua-Kona in February (beats watching the rain in the Pacific Northwest). This was one of the many Geckos who enjoyed this palm tree off of our Lanai.

Great geometry here - the intersecting lines of the plant and the strong diagonal of the lizard. Nice composition. It seems a trifle soft to me around those gorgeous eyes, but I love the texture of the skin that you got. And that tongue! Perfect timing.
