Patricia, I like how you framed this to show the seed head and bud together. I don’t know your focal length, but it looks like it worked to isolated the subjects from the BG, which is natural and well diffused. This would also work well with just a bit more real estate as an option. I like your choice of nice soft light for this.

Yes indeed. Elegant is the first word that came to mind when I saw this image. A perfectly balanced juxtaposition between the yin of the open pod and the yan of the closed one. The depth of field is gorgeous and I really love the darkness of the image as a whole - it gives it all a sense of mystery.
