About This Image

I was hesitating for a while before taking this photo because there is nothing interesting besides late summer colors of this meadow. Golden hour and cloudy sky were adding painterly feel which made me snap it.

I used NiSi Landscape CPL and GND8 soft, edited in Capture One.

I like the image, Jacek. While there’s nothing dramatic about it, it has the peaceful feel that lets an image hang on the right person’s wall for a long time. To my eye, the only jarring note (and it adds speculative interest to the image) is what looks suspiciously like a hunting blind in the trees.

Jacek, the variety of colors and textures in the grasses look great and they do a good job of adding depth. These remind me of the colors that marsh grasses take on in the fall, where different colors show how much or how little standing water they deal with.

Really beautiful scene. I especially like the different tones of the grasses. I did notice the barn structure on the left edge but, it blends in so well, not sure I would get rid of it..
Definitely get the painterly effect with the clouds.. Very nice.

@Mark_Seaver @Dennis_Plank @Charlie_Chaffee Thank you very much for your feedback. Yes, it’s a hunting blind, one of many in this area. There is a tiny end of a roof at the right edge and even a pole with a stork’s nest but nothing on the left and yes, it blends in so I didn’t crop it in order to keep the panoramic view as much as possible.

Very nice and restful meadow scene.
The clouds are lovely - I wonder if you might experiment with a little more sky at the top if you have it available.

On my monitor the sky is rendered with a slight magenta tinge - but if may be my monitor or the LUTs you have chosen that best suits you image.

Great pic

Thank you for your comment, Huw. Sorry for late reply. You’re right, there is some magenta tinge, I’m posting a revision.
