Good Light

Near the town of Drumheller, the rolling prairie suddenly parts to reveal one of Alberta’s natural wonders, Horsethief Canyon. Warm, late afternoon light emphasizes the form, texture, striations and colors of the badlands mounds in the main valley of the Canyon.

Very cool image, Bob. Love the textures.

Thank you, David. I spent two days at this site, Horsethief Canyon, as well as the other site I posted an image from, Horseshoe Canyon. At least two sunrises and sunsets for each to get reasonable images. Very popular sites so they get over-run with tourists during the non-Golden Hour times. Lots of time to explore compositions without needing to hurry.
