LOL! This is terrific! Perfect Title!
The birds are tack-sharp and the BG is very complimentary.
The perch is interesting and the prey is excellent.
I’m not sure what the white bit is in the tree, but it’s a little distracting and might be removed.
The crop seems awkward to me. If you have room, and the tree branches aren’t weird, you might consider moving the birds a good bit to the right, including more of the branches, and cutting back the right side.
A really wonderful catch here!
Good to see you posting again - your portfolio is excellent, and I hope you’ll have more time for photography and NPN!

Welcome back, Avi. We’ve missed your unique eye and wonderful images. The sexual dimorphism in this species is pretty spectacular, particularly for a raptor. The white in the plant appears to be reflection off a surface and doesn’t really bother me. I do find the crop a bit awkward. I took the liberty of playing with it, going to a 5x4 format and pulling down the upper right corner a bit. The bird’s faces end up rather centered, but I think the wing extending to our right and her visible eye appearing to be looking in the same direction make it work reasonably well. As always it’s your image and your interpretation of it that counts.
I hope you have the time to join us more often.
Hi Dennis
yes its good to be back I do photograph quite often allthough my health has been a totall coasteride the last 8 years but I have wondefrful friends who help me go out.
I like the crop I do have a little more on the left .
Thank you for the feedback and yes you will see more of me
Hi Sandy great to be back
I agree that white is distracting I will deal with it ASAP.
Hi Avi, what a great capture. Colors and detail look spot on. The behavioral aspect is terrific. I like Dennis’ crop suggestion and agree the white in the tree can go. Pleasing background. Wonderful image.
