Description
I recently visited the Louisiana bayou country. We took a boat tour of one of the swamps. I loved being enveloped in the environment of the swamp and am trying to convey that experience in this image.

This is almost abstract with the towering cypress and the draperies of Spanish moss and then I saw the Heron. My only nit, and it’s a small one is that white stick just below the cypress on the right catches my eye. I love the subdued reflection, too. wonderful image.
This brings back memories when I was a kid fishing from a flat-bottom boat on Caddo Lake on the Texas side. It was eerie, and wonderful at the same time.

Allen,
it is a nice scene and reminds me on my trip to Louisiana and Lake Caddo some years ago.
To arrange the “chaos” is quite a challenge.
The brightest parts are the tree on the left and the green branch in the right top corner. My eyes are jumping between those two areas.
The well placed heron is discovered later.
Hi Allen,
Lovely scene. My eye was wandering around the image as I admired the cypress and the hanging moss when I noticed the heron hiding out in it’s habitat. That turned out to be a neat little find. My only suggestion would bethe same as @Preston_Birdwell about the snag below the cypress on the far right. This looks like it would be a fun trip.
