I like this image a lot. There are some technical issues with it but you saw well. By that I mean you recognized something special and went for it.

Magic tree indeed Larry, very nicely done. Back-light in autumn can be a wonderful thing, and you took full advantage of these conditions. As a nice small touch, I especially like how the backlit ground cover looks. And the light rays look awesome. To make this good image even better, I’d clone away a couple of tiny patches of flare. I think your processing of luminosiy, contrast and color looks great, nice work.

Yes I would def get rid of the lens flare. Other than that, looks great.

Very very good eye, indeed. And quite honestly the small technical flaws like the flares do not take away much from the image.
