Maya Traditional Blouse
When we are in Belize, we photograph amongst the Maya people, many of whom maintain their traditional ways. This women was kind enough to invite us into her thatched board house as she prepared a meal over the open fire. Patience is the key word in photographing people. Sit back, become part of the background, and wait until the body English and gesture come together. Again, I just did this one shot.
I really like the lighting in this image as well as the composition, Margo. However, since it doesn’t have any fauna (other than the woman), I’m moving it to the non-nature Gallery. Thanks for posting.
Thanks … The group said “Humans and Fauna.” Clearly I misunderstood, but thank you for bearing with a now neophyte who is still getting used to the current parameters. I really appreiciate your popping it into the proper catagory, and thank you, too, for your comment!
