Flowers are blooming a lot now and the bees know it. I wanted to capture a bee with quite a bit of pollen.

Any suggestions on lighting welcome.

Dean, that guy probably won the trophy that day for bringing in the most pollen! He is loaded. I don’t recall seeing one quite so covered. The lighting is harsh, but I think if you toned down the brightness a bit that it might help some. Having the long lens probably made it impossible to shadow him with your body or something else, like a collapsible diffuser. I do like how he is covered all over, but especially his face. You wonder how he could see what he was doing.
