Barbara, the bird and it’s perch look great. All of the young buds along the branch are a nice addition.

Very good job on this Barbara. The pose and lighting are very nice. Superb perch. If I were going to make any changes I might darken the bird itself by half a stop.

A regal pose with lovely detail and a great perch! My only thought would be to remove the partial bud on the left edge. Failing that I’d look at a slight crop to remove both of them, although I like the anchoring the bud provides. If I cropped from the left I might do a little off the right as well, to keep the balance.

Excellent image, Barbara. I like the perch and the bird has excellent detail and a nice pose. There is a little loss of detail in the bright breast. If you’re using Lightroom, using the local adjustment brush to pull down the highlights and maybe a touch of lowering the overall exposure on the breast would take care of that issue.
