### Description

There’s a budding liquid amber tree near our hummer feeder that our recent influx of hummingbirds are taking little breaks in-between feedings. I got this guy in there this morning.

### Specific Feedback

Cropping? I darkened the BG in an effort to highlight the bird/perch. Yeah?

### Technical Details

Z9, 180-600 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, monopod, 1/1000th, f 9.0, 840mm, ISO 1260, cropped to 2735 x 2111

The angle of the light was perfect to show off this guy’s gaudy gorget, Dave. The only thing that would make it better is if that darn perch were more parallel with the focal plane.

What a bright little jewel. Wish the bg was more blurred, but at f/13 it’s going to be a bit crisper. The plane of focus is narrow, but looks nice and sharp. You might want to just barely tone down the bud on the far end of the branch. Just a bit.

Beautiful look at the gorget. The dark background lets the hummer pop.

Nice frame to my eyes Dave with a great look at the brilliant male colors. Sharpness looks good to me where it counts. My eye mostly stays with the bird even with the other elements in the image. Bird pops well against the darkened background.

Hi Dave
The Ann’s does pop out in the frame and the camera is focused where it counts. Nice work.
Peter
