Hi Ted,

Very thought provoking image. Not so much abstract per se, although certainly could be considered abstract in mood and atmosphere.

Definitely get a feeling of loneliness, emptyness and also a notion of the abyss… What is out there? There’s an engaging mystery about this too.

Framing wise - clearly on purpose; adding (or leaving) negative space to enhance and/or create mood and atmosphere. I think you were very successul in your choice to frame/crop this.

It appears to be like a weather monitoring device or something mechanical at the end of the jetty. I think the whole mood would change if that were a person rather than an inanimate object. Of course not much to be done about that, you still were able to generate mood and wonder.

Very simple, yet also very impactful. No suggestions really. Well done.
