Opening Up

Pertinent technical details or techniques to help others learn: Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200 @ 200, 1/200 @ f5.6, ISO 400

An early crocus opening up in the pale morning sun when most were still closed. Don’t think I want to change this so have posted here rather than in critiques, but would be interested to know if this comp is felt to work.

It’s beautiful this too Ian. I like the composition, less the fade little petal in the ULC.

I think it does work and is lovely. Makes me long for spring.

Hi Ian,

I think that this one works very well. It is very difficult to get these small flowers isolated and you did a good job getting this composition to work. Well done…Jim

Ian: The comp certainly works for me. Nicely done.>=))>

It works for me Ian. The various degrees of softness in the background convey a very peaceful mood.
