Mike, You’ve got good sharpness on both of the DF’s. The bit of blue on his first abdominal segment, is a fine change-of-pace, that I expect is characteristic of the species. I suspect that you put a lot of work into “taming” the background. The darkness behind his wing is somewhat distracting.
Mike: My first impression was that they were mimicking the yin and yang of the Korean flag. Great capture of the critters and the behavior. I’m OK with the BG but I’m wondering if in the original capture you could select the subject, inverse and then drop the exposure/increase the blur on the BG. Certainly a subject worthy of effort and pretty good as is. >=))>
Wonderful capture with great detail! You must have been very close to them. The BG looks good to me but a bit more blur or contrast decrease in the UR corner could be worth a try. Maybe add a bit of canvas to the bottom? Excellent in any case!!
