I like this one and shows the beauty of a green flower. The asymmetry is what catches my eye and makes this a very interesting shot of a very unusual prairie plant. Awesome details too…Jim

Great image. Macro is challenging because wind, especially if you focus stack. This is well done. Sharp throughout with a nice blurred background. There is good breathing room from the flower to the edge of the frame. I probably would have darkened the background a little bit more for separation.

Ravi: I like the single subject as well as the uniformity of the color scheme. There is excellent detail in the flower and the water droplets are a big plus. Richard

Very nice detail on this closeup and a good background. I have to ask, since no one else did (they must know the answer), why do you refer to this as a rattlesnake? That caught my attention immediately!

Thanks Kathy, Shawn, Richard and Jim for your comments. The name comes from Native American herbology. It was used as an antidote for rattlesnake bites by the native medicine men, hence the name. It is a native Prairie plant, often overlooked, as the flower heads are green and inconspicuous.

Ravi: One has to view this large to really appreciate the minute details in the flower and the water drops/dew. A simple subject and comp executed perfectly. :+1: :+1:>=))>

Interesting plant that I am not familiar with. Great detail which is showcased in the larger version. The composition works as well. Well done.
