A nice set of winter birds . Comps are good and I would warm up the junco slightly. It has a slight cyan tint on my calibrated monitor. Otherwise, they look good. Are you shooting from a blind?..Jim
Nice, Allen. I’ve started putting out winter feed too. Now I need to put up some good perches and get out to the blind. I wish we had that red splash provided by the cardinal, but it is what it is.
Nice look at your backyard birds. You have some nice perches and backgrounds in which to photograph them. Typical to our backyard birds, except, like Dennis, I’m envious of your cardinal.
Allen, what a nice collection of yard birds. Wonderful details in each of them.
Hi Jim, thanks for the comment. No I just sit out near the set up for these backyard birds.
I’ll echo the jealousy over your Cardinals! And I only get Lesser Goldfinches.
I agree the Junco needs a WB correction, and wish the Goldfinch had made a slight move to separate his tail from the perch, but the Cardinal and the Chickadee more than make up for those tiny nits.
@Jim_Zablotny @Diane_Miller - yep I forgot to adjust white balance on the first image. A bad habit of mine it seems
Thanks for the comments!
I’d kill for such a backyard
… (as a figure of speech, of course, don’t worry). Lovely setting and colors, the WB on the Junco is much better in the repost, imho. In your shoes I couldn’t wait for some snow to fall. The set-up is ready ! Cheers, Hans
Wow! What a series. These are all to die for. And in your back yard. Sheesh. Not fair. The reposted Junco is a definite improvement but was stellar to begin with. Looking forward to more of these.
