Here is a hawk that perched on my backyard fence this past Halloween.
@Hank_Pennington, I brightened the eye per your reminder…thanks!

Canon 7D2, 400mm f4 DO IS II, 1.4x TC III
ISO 640, f5.6, 1/200s, hand held

Any comments appreciated.

There it is! Beautiful addition, especially when viewed in the larger screen size.

Really nice lighting and superb color and definition in the plumage. This is one nice hawk on a post photo. The saturation is just perfect especially on the orange plumage. The hawk has a soft pastel feeling to it which is quite pleasing.

A wonderful treat, Allen. No need for candy that Halloween. To my eye, the hawk could use just a touch more sharpening or microcontrast The plumage looks just a tiny bit too smooth.

Nice and clean image. You might want to bump up the midtone contrast slightly to crisp up the details. Other than that, a nice pleasing image oif this RS hawk…Jim

I added some contrast and sharpening. Here is a redo.

Hawk and BG are gorgeous. You can really see the delicacy of the feathers in the large version. Repost looks very good. My only critique is that I’d prefer a natural perch.
