Repurposed Art

This image depicts an art installation on Thessaloniki’s port, probably a decade old by now. The specific part of the port is inaccessible to people, and thus the installation, without any maintenance as it seems, slowly but surely crumbles to its demise. The only visitors are sea birds such as these shown here, enjoying the unusually warm weather a couple of days ago… I used to feel sad about the state of this art work, until I looked closer with my tele lens. I now think I prefer it this way :slightly_smiling_face:

How cool is this, Nikos. I love the B&W look and the panorama works quite well. The birds roosting are nice touches. I get a feeling of decay, but also as you said, it’s a state of the art. Excellent image.
