Return to the Heron rookery

These are the other two photographs I though I would show of the Heron rookery in Portland, CT. As for Dennis comment on the dead trees, I have seen these same trees for the last 7 or so years and the rookery has been there much longer. The lower number of nest may have been from storm damage.
Both photos are taken with a Canon7DII and Sigma 150-600mm, on a tripod using a cable release. First one ISO 640, F8, 531mm, 1/3200 and cropped by 60%. Number two ISO 400, F8, 500mm, 1/2000 and cropped by 40%. I brought the exposure down .3, adjusted the highlight, midtones and used a local adjustment brush to sharpen the Herons, in DxO Photo Lab3.
