Questions to guide your feedback
Do the trees in the background negatively affect the photo?
My eye is immediately drawn to the two large trees on the left side of the frame, before the river then begins to lead me through the scene. I feel the composition may have benefited from the photographer rotating slightly to their right whilst moving further left, allowing the river to become more central and create a stronger leading line through the image.
I also feel a tripod would have improved the image quality here, as there appears to be some camera shake visible in the more distant trees. In this instance, either a slower shutter speed to smooth the river, or a faster shutter speed to fully freeze the movement and avoid shake, may have produced a stronger final result.
