Rohr Lake in Autumn

We might not get the east coast colour palette out west but I’m enjoying how some of the small bushes become orange and the glacier fed lakes are still a vibrant cyan. The biggest bonus about this time of year is that the mosquitoes have largely departed!

Nathan, the colors here do stand out well. This is a fine looking shot, especially the mix of yellow/orange shrubs and turquoise water.

A nice view for sure, Nathan. This has a nice peaceful feel to it with the beginnings of the autumn color in the bushes. This is just my personal preference; and it may have actually been like that; but I would dial the turquoise in the water back just a little as it seems a little intense. The lack of mosquitoes and black flies are one of my favorite reasons for shooting in the fall also; along with all that glorious autumn color.

Thanks @Mark_Seaver and @Ed_Lowe for your feedback.

I take your point Ed on the Cyan. It is actually a very cyan lake but for interpretation purposes a but of de-saturation wouldn’t hurt.
