Thanks for sharing this article, Ed. I think back to a particular image that I captured in a fall color season when the peak fall color was well behind schedule in the Smoky Mountains a couple of years ago. I was disappointed at the time, but now I really enjoy that image that shows a couple of red trees set off against a background of still green trees. It probably won’t dissuade me from seeking out peak fall color, but it does free me up when the conditions do not meet my expectations (which they rarely do in reality).
