About This Image
I recently spent 3 days on the small island of Helgoland on the Northern German coast. Cliffs of about 50m high house colonies of Northern gannets during the breeding season. The birds are completely undisturbed by the many photographers boasting their loads of mms. I will post more classical images later, but I want to start with this one.

It took some time to come up with the idea, but I was immediately successful, at least in my humble opinion. Does the picture work for you as it does for me? What can be improved?

I agree 100% with @Huw_Thomas . It could use a crop along the bottom and the right side. I also agree that a little bit more depth by stepping back a few feet would help this image tremendously.
What a great conversation pieces for sure and great of you to come up with this idea on the fly in the field. Hard to do when faced with so many options most of which have to do with getting the whole bird in the shot. Fast thinking on your part. Thanks for sharing this one. It will get members thinking what if on their next outing.
