About This Image

I saw this while hiking. The colorful cactus seemed out of place in a sea of rock. I’m cheering for it.

Visual Notes

[Crop] The cactus is far enough to the right that it feels unbalanced to my eye, and the left side doesn’t stand out to me. Maybe a crop to move the cactus more into the image to emphasize the contrast with the rocks?

Thanks for the suggestion, John. My idea, whether good or bad, was to emphasize how isolated and anomalous the cactus was, so I put as much rock into the frame as I could.
