Song of the Sisters

Tucked into a little niche and surrounded by moss two wet and slightly bedraggled hygrocybe cantharellus mushrooms were irresistible. Luckily the cloud and canopy cover was enough that I didn’t need to use a diffuser to make shade. They aren’t pristine specimens, but their slightly frazzled look is still cute.

Processed in Lr for this little crop and a wb tweak. The usual adds and subtracts with clarity, contrast, color and sharpness/nr. Into Photoshop to remove some distractions in the moss and at the edges.

A very nice find and capture, Kris. I love the oranges against the green, a nice color contrast. Very nice.

The colors make this image, Kris. Nice.

Very nice. It looks like you found a fairy football field, and those are the goalposts ;>)

Thanks everyone! These little guys are so bright they’re easy to spot against the green.
