A classic fall scene in Colorado. Being lucky and patient may be appropriate for this image as I had to wait several hours for the Mount Sneffels to reveal itself from a brief snowstorm. Then this nice dappled light appeared !
Nikon D7000, 16-85 mm lens. I really had to work carefully in post processing as this image was taken with a DX sensor and didn’t the dynamic range capabilities of today’s cameras. Not to mention a lot more noise. Additionally, the “color” tools in Photoshop didn’t work quite as well (Hue, Saturation, Selective Color), so I used more color grading techniques to bring out or subdue individual colors.
