About This Image
Every time I venture to the Lowe’s Water Gardens it’s a contest between the water lilies, lotus and dragonflies for my attention. I usually give preference to the dragons as most of the lilies won’t go anywhere unless someone buys it and carts it away. This one patiently waited for me to take it’s picture. >=))>

I was attracted to the strong shadow of the lily on the pads but the light was pretty harsh and I thought the pads too much in competition with the flower. Decreased exposure and desaturated the pads to give the star of the show more prominence. Do you think the blue highlights on the lower pad are too much of an eye pull?

What a lovely lily! How fortunate you are to have such a wonderful place to spend time! The lily itself and the immediate surrounding leaves are beautiful in contrast and compliment. I agree with the shadow on the leaves! With my untrained eye, but thanks to you and many others getting better all the time, I do feel the bottom leaf is distracting and too bright…even metallic looking. The only other thing is perhaps the spots on the upper leaf. I know natural is good, but so many is pulling my eye a bit. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great name for a water garden. I love the main star and how you tamed it with skill in the field or the processing. My only small nit is the aforementioned blue highlights. I’m sure you’re better at PS and LR than I am, so I’m not gonna mess it up by trying my limited skills.
