Three Amigos

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I found these three basking in some warm light that made them look shiny, almost like they were gilded in bronze or copper. I still can’t seem to identify the species

Specific Feedback

Two inquiries: 1. is the framing too tight around them? 2. does that little leaf litter on the mushroom at the top too much of a distraction?

Any other feedback appreciated, especially if you can help identify them.

Technical Details

Nikon D850, Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Micro Nikkor at f25, 2.0 sec, ISO 100. Single Frame. Processed in ACR then finished in PS.

I like this, Youssef. It is nicely lit with excellent detail and textures. I’d be tempted to clone out that bit of litter on the upper 'schroom. Nicely done, sir!

Youssef: Frame filling fantastic detail, light and color palette. I can see @Preston_Birdwell’s point about the litter piece but if he hadn’t mentioned it I doubt I would have noticed. A terrific find and an even better capture. >=))>
