The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
From local arboretum. Got to beginning blooms before freeze damaged them. I think it looks like it is about to fall after tripping Is the upper right corner too bright?
Specific Feedback
The supporting branch is quite large compard to the flower bud. I am not sure if it is too large; and,if so, what can be done to change it.
The main branch is a bit dominating with the bright rusty moss or fungus on it. If you had lots of canvas, you could rotate the image to the right and have just a slice of the branch across the bottom, though that would give the bud quite a slant. that upper right is a bit of an eye magnet. How about a crop something like this:
Thanks for the suggestions. Your version is fine, and I like it, except in my quirky interpretation I see the bud having tripped and is falling face down. You version does not give it enough room to fall and still remain in the photo.
Jim: I think this is a successful comp. I also like what @Dennis_Plank did but it does make it a different image. I’m Ok with the brighter URC. It’s not way out of bounds and I like the disparity it gives the BG. Overall >=))>
