Trumpet Sound

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

One of Chrissy’s favorite plants in the garden are our Angel Trumpet Trees. These are huge flowers, between 10-12 inches long, and overall hard to shoot because any tiny zephyr gets them moving and the BG is almost always messy and uninviting. However on this day it was pretty calm and the BG was manageable. I’ve had more luck extracting parts of the flowers and I much prefer the first image but I thought I would provide a documentary look at the full bloom. I have some more abstract comps and may toy with them in the near future.>=))>

Specific Feedback

One of the things I like about these flowers is the color palette. We have some others that are a more homogenous yellow but this pleases me more. Your thoughts?

You must have your very own botanical garden!! I love these things and I love the cropped view of the unique shape of these flowers. The lighting, BG and detail are perfect!
