Were did they go

This Killdeer was photograph on Aug. 22 at 8:36 AM in the Hammonasset Beach State Park’s parking lot. This is the same parking lot that a herd of Canada Geese just walked through, so you had to be careful when sitting down to take the shot. The shot is handheld.

Thank you for stopping by.

An excellent look at a killdeer. Colors and detail show up nicely. I like the surroundings as well.

Really nice work, Peter. Good details and color. Glad you were able to find a clean spot to sit down! :joy:

Superb job on this one. Excellent look at the plumage, color, and environment.

An excellent pose, nice low angle and superb detail. Very well done, Peter.

A really nice shot Peter. The eye with that orange ring is striking. Nice low angle and I like the inclusion of the flower/grass stems just to left of bird in the frame. I might remove that one bright oof focus flower in lower right. A dandy shot with lots of detail.
