Hello, That is a beautifully colored image. I believe it is a Sweetgum tree if I’m not mistaken. One of the prettier autumn colored trees in my opinion. The only thing I could pick at some is the shallow DOF. I understand why you want it, but I would have loved to see a little deeper DOF to show off more of those leaves. That is a matter of taste however, and the image is great as is.
This is an interesting use of shallow depth of field and placement of the primary subject, David. I don’t think I’d ever have thought to compose this image in the same way. The intense blue (sky and water?) really works well with the yellow/orange of the leaves, though the shade of blue seems a bit odd for sky. In any case, it’s an interesting image that makes me think about composition a bit differently.

This image actually started out as a stack for Zerene and wound up being unmanageable because of the number of images I took, which must’ve been 24. It just got to be a little tedious, trying to fix everything. Too many leaves.
