I grew up in the middle of the USA and was first bitten by the big landscape bug during annual family vacations to Colorado. I spend 20 years living in the Lake Tahoe area and exploring the American west before moving to Norway. While I got to Europe via my day job, my motivation was the beautiful landscape and gorgeous night photo opportunities, especially the northern lights.

I feel like the luckiest person that all winter long I have a good chance to shoot the aurora from my back door, and in summer get to play in 20 hours of daylight.
